GutterStuff® started in 1994 with sole inventor Robert Jones. Jones, who had been in the building and remodeling business for 25 years, developed the concept of stuffing the gutter with a filter rather than covering it. He invented the product after determining there was a need for a system that homeowners could install themselves. Other systems required contactors and special tools and were expensive.
After testing different types of materials such as plastic mesh, steel mesh, and different types of foam, he developed the foam material that is currently being used today. Patents were applied for after several years of successful testing and granted recently (US Patent #'s 7208081, D550804). While still in it's infancy, satisfied customers and dealers have purchased millions of feet.
